Riyadh:
Dr. Brian Bridges, the deputy director of Ohio University, along with Dr. Girard Carsick, the head of the English language department at Ohio University recently visited the AETG. They were warmly received by Dr. Ahmad Al-Taweel, the CEO of the Group, Dr. Khalid Al-Fulaih, the Deputy Director, Dr. Abdul aziz Al-Raffi, the Executive Director, and Dr. Ibrahim Al-Baddah, the Project Management Director.
During the reception, the University committee took a tour of AETG’s facilities and examined the state-of-the-art technology used for education. They also listened to a detailed explanation of the Group’s units and their roles in activating the training system and the learning processes in the kingdom and the entire Arab world.
After the tour, the University committee had discussions with the Group members about possible methods of bilateral cooperation in an attempt to strengthen ties at an educational level.
Dr. Brian Bridges expressed his admiration of the high educational standards in the kingdom through his visit to the International Fair of Higher Education. He also held the AETG in high regard for its attempt to launch a number of preparation programs at a number of Saudi Universities. He was also impressed by the new ideas the AETG came up with in order to raise the standards of high education in the kingdom.
Dr. Brian confirmed that the strategic alliance between Ohio University and the AETG was a great success over the past three years. The shared programs between the two parties, which are currently running in Diploma and Master Courses in Jordan, proved the AETG’s ability to prepare and launch these high-level programs.
Dr. Ahmed Al-Taweel stated that cooperation with Ohio University has been the most successful project that the AETG has ever done. It resulted in the development of the Group’s infrastructure and raised the level of education and training. The cooperation was extended to include three more high diploma programs, one master program, and other training courses for chief executives.
Dr. Al-Taweel reiterated that the discussions developed some new ideas on which both parties are working to translate into actions. He also stated that an agreement had been signed on which the University is committed to academically assessing the preparation courses or the specialist courses in progress at AETG.
Finally, Dr. Brian Bridges, the deputy director invited Dr. Al-Taweel to visit the University. He was also awarded a trophy as an expression of gratitude for his continuous support.
